In recent months we focused on completing the training and configuring the driving lanes, including traffic plans and markings. We are implementing change management around the Monorail with a focus on treatment orders, outdoor storage, X-docking and pallets. We are starting with wave picking and scheduling activities to improve the order fulfillment process.

In April and May we scaled up to full distribution using the Monorail in the Netherlands. This first phase will be followed by Phase 2, whereby we will begin with shipments and shuttles and will work together with sister companies.

A key milestone was achieved recently: after just under two years of construction, the Monorail was officially commissioned! With an impressive capacity of 60 units per hour, a double rail and the possibility of loading 13 trucks at the same time at the output stations, the Monorail promises to become a real game changer.

The Monorail will facilitate the automation of a significant part of the logistics activities in the warehouse. With the full operational status of the Monorail on the horizon, we can expect that efficiency will improve, delivery reliability will increase and the working environment will become safer.
